Job Summary
Quantum Research International Inc is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join its Huntsville, Madison County, US team. This role supports cutting‑edge defense and federal projects by turning complex data into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy advanced machine‑learning models for cybersecurity, space operations, and defense analytics.
- Collaborate with engineers, program managers, and subject‑matter experts to define data‑driven solutions.
- Perform data extraction, cleaning, and feature engineering from large, heterogeneous datasets.
- Validate model performance, conduct statistical testing, and produce clear documentation.
- Present findings to technical and non‑technical stakeholders, influencing decision‑making.
- Stay current with emerging AI/ML techniques and integrate best practices into project pipelines.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience applying machine‑learning algorithms in a defense, aerospace, or cybersecurity environment.
- Proficiency in Python or R, with hands‑on experience using libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit‑learn, and pandas.
- Strong knowledge of statistical modeling, time‑series analysis, and signal processing.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Clearance eligibility for US government work (Active Secret or higher preferred).
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with big‑data tools (Spark, Hadoop, Snowflake).
- Understanding of cybersecurity threat analytics, satellite telemetry, or missile defense data streams.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Compensation
Salary range: $100,011.41 annually.
