Job Summary
Truist is seeking a Data Scientist III – Human Capital Data and Analytics Enablement to join its analytics team in Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, US. This senior role focuses on building advanced models and insights that drive people‑strategy decisions across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy predictive and prescriptive analytics solutions for workforce planning, talent acquisition, and employee retention.
- Collaborate with HR business partners, data engineers, and business intelligence teams to translate business questions into data‑driven solutions.
- Maintain and enhance data pipelines, ensuring high‑quality, secure, and compliant HR data sources.
- Create interactive dashboards and visualisations that communicate complex findings to senior leadership.
- Mentor junior data scientists and promote best practices in statistical modelling, machine learning, and reproducibility.
- Stay current with emerging AI/ML techniques and evaluate their applicability to human capital challenges.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- 5+ years of professional experience applying advanced analytics or machine learning in a corporate HR or talent analytics environment.
- Proficiency in Python or R, SQL, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
- Strong knowledge of statistical modelling, time‑series forecasting, natural language processing, and experiment design.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors) and HR data privacy regulations.
- Hands‑on experience with big‑data tools (Spark, Hadoop) and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Track record of publishing analytical insights that influence strategic workforce decisions.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $158,040.08 annually.
