Job Summary

Blackstraw LLC is seeking a skilled Data Architect – AWS to join its AI‑focused technology services team in the United States. This role offers a competitive annual salary of $196,183.50 and involves designing robust, scalable data solutions on Amazon Web Services for global enterprise clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement end‑to‑end data architectures on AWS, including data lakes, warehouses, and pipelines.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Define data modeling standards, governance policies, and best practices for security and compliance.
• Optimize performance and cost of data workloads using AWS services such as Redshift, S3, Glue, Athena, and EMR.
• Lead LLM/GenAI data integration projects and support LLMOps initiatives.
• Mentor junior team members and conduct knowledge‑sharing sessions.
• Stay current with emerging AWS data services and AI trends to drive continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience designing and managing data solutions on AWS.
• Strong expertise in data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and big‑data technologies.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS services: Redshift, S3, Glue, Athena, EMR, Kinesis, and Lambda.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python/Scala, and data orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Prefect).
• Familiarity with AI/ML pipelines, LLM/GenAI frameworks, and MLOps concepts.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work across multi‑regional teams.

Preferred Skills

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or Data Analytics certification.
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless architectures.
