Data Analyst/ Data Engineer II

Job Summary

UIC Government Services and the Bowhead Family of Companies is hiring a Data Analyst/ Data Engineer II in Camp Springs, Prince George’s County, MD to support the AF FIAR contract at Joint Base Andrews.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable databases and data pipelines supporting audit remediation and financial reporting.
• Create interactive data visualizations and dashboards for stakeholders.
• Develop ETL processes to ingest, clean, and transform data from multiple sources.
• Collaborate with auditors, finance teams, and IT to ensure data integrity and compliance.
• Perform advanced analytics, statistical modeling, and ad‑hoc queries to support decision‑making.
• Document data models, workflows, and standard operating procedures.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot data‑related issues.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in data analysis, data engineering, or business intelligence.
• Proficiency with SQL, Python or R, and data‑warehouse technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, Azure Synapse).
• Experience building dashboards with Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
• Strong understanding of audit processes, FIAR regulations, and financial reporting concepts.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).

Compensation

Annual salary: $161,333.06

Location

Camp Springs, Prince George’s County, MD (on‑site at Joint Base Andrews).
