Job Summary
Research Innovations is seeking a Cyber Test Engineer (Cyber259) to join its Cyber Security team in Saint Petersburg, Pinellas County, FL. This full‑time role offers a salary of $94,133.55 and requires a Top Secret/SCI clearance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute test plans for cyber‑defense software and hardware solutions.
- Identify, document, and track vulnerabilities, bugs, and performance issues.
- Collaborate with developers, analysts, and system engineers to resolve security flaws.
- Automate testing processes using scripting languages and CI/CD pipelines.
- Conduct penetration testing and threat modeling on mission‑critical systems.
- Prepare detailed test reports and present findings to senior leadership.
- Maintain compliance with DoD security standards and ensure all testing adheres to Top Secret/SCI requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in software/hardware security testing.
- Proficiency with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Jenkins, Python, PowerShell).
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols, operating systems, and common cyber‑attack vectors.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with defense or intelligence community projects.
- Certifications such as OSCP, CISSP, or CEH.
- Familiarity with secure coding practices and vulnerability assessment frameworks.
