About This Position
Job Summary
Upbound is seeking a Customer Support Engineer (REMOTE) to join its fast‑growing team. This fully remote role supports customers of Upbound’s Intelligent Control Plane platform and is based out of Atlanta, Fulton County, US.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide tier‑2 technical assistance for customers deploying and managing infrastructure with Crossplane and the Intelligent Control Plane.
- Troubleshoot complex issues, reproduce bugs, and work closely with engineering to drive resolutions.
- Develop and maintain knowledge‑base articles, runbooks, and best‑practice guides.
- Participate in on‑call rotation and respond to incidents in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with sales, product, and professional services to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Gather customer feedback and contribute to product improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in technical support or customer engineering for cloud‑native platforms.
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes, containers, and infrastructure‑as‑code concepts.
- Proficiency with Linux, networking, and API troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex technical topics to both engineers and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, Zendesk) and remote debugging tools.
Preferred Skills
- Hands‑on experience with Crossplane, Terraform, or similar declarative infrastructure tools.
- Familiarity with AI/ML workloads and agentic AI concepts.
- Knowledge of observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki).
Compensation & Benefits
