Job Summary
Intuit is seeking a Corporate Counsel, Product Privacy in Mountain View, Santa Clara County, US. This full‑time role offers a salary of $161,958 per year and involves guiding privacy strategy for cutting‑edge products.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with product, engineering, and data teams to embed privacy considerations throughout the product lifecycle.
- Draft, review, and negotiate privacy policies, terms of service, data processing agreements, and other legal documents.
- Provide proactive legal advice on emerging privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, CPRA) and ensure compliance with Intuit’s Data Stewardship Principles.
- Conduct privacy impact assessments and risk analyses for new features and services.
- Lead internal training sessions and develop privacy best‑practice guides for cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Collaborate with external counsel and regulators as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- 5+ years of experience counseling technology or product teams on privacy and data protection matters.
- Strong knowledge of global privacy laws, including GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and emerging state regulations.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex legal concepts into clear business guidance.
- Demonstrated ability to work in fast‑paced, cross‑functional environments.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with consumer‑facing financial or tax software products.
- Background in data security, data governance, or compliance frameworks.
- Prior experience drafting privacy policies for large‑scale SaaS platforms.
