About This Position
IDS International is hiring a Construction Surveillance Technician (CST) for an OCONIV (outside the continental United States) assignment, based out of Arlington, Arlington County, US. This full‑time role offers a fixed annual salary of $71,998 and provides the opportunity to support government and defense projects worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform on‑site construction surveillance, ensuring contractor compliance with contract specifications, drawings, and schedules.
- Document daily construction activities, produce accurate reports, photographs, and video evidence for client review.
- Identify and flag non‑conforming work, coordinate corrective actions with contractors, and track resolution progress.
- Maintain secure handling of classified or sensitive information in accordance with government standards.
- Support audits and inspections by providing timely, verifiable data to government and client stakeholders.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and safety officers to ensure seamless project execution.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in construction surveillance, contract administration, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and standard building practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to produce clear, concise reports.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, GIS mapping tools, and digital documentation platforms.
- Willingness to travel internationally for up to 12 months and work in austere environments.
Preferred Experience
- Experience supporting DoD or other federal government contracts.
- Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) and cost‑control processes.
- Previous deployment in OCONUS locations.
