Job Summary
Actalent is seeking a reliable Compounder – 3rd Shift to join its manufacturing team in New Brunswick, Middlesex County, US. This night‑shift role focuses on precise ingredient handling, mixing, and quality verification for pharmaceutical or chemical production.
Key Responsibilities
- Retrieve raw materials and accurately measure ingredients using calibrated scales.
- Mix components according to batch formulas, ensuring proper sequence and timing.
- Identify solids that require melting and operate hot plates safely.
- Perform dilution steps for ingredients that need concentration adjustment.
- Document raw material usage, batch numbers, and process parameters in electronic batch records.
- Verify weight and content of each batch to meet quality standards and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct in‑process checks and support batch release activities.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Report any deviations, equipment issues, or non‑conformances to the Shift Supervisor.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in chemistry, pharmacy, or related field preferred.
- Prior experience in a compounding, manufacturing, or laboratory environment.
- Strong math skills and attention to detail for accurate weighing and calculations.
- Ability to read and interpret batch records, safety data sheets (SDS), and SOPs.
- Comfort working the third (night) shift, including occasional overtime.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory tracking.
- Commitment to safety, GMP, and quality assurance standards.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $52,134.68 per year (fixed). Additional benefits include health insurance, 401(k) plan, paid time off, and opportunities for overtime.
