About This Position
Job Summary
Join Vancouver Coastal Health as a part‑time Community Mental Health and Substance Use Nurse (RN/RPN) at Grandview Woodlands in Vancouver. Salary ranges from $86,153 to $116,292 per year.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing assessments and care plans for adults experiencing mental health and substance‑use challenges.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, social workers and addiction counsellors, to deliver coordinated community‑based services.
- Deliver evidence‑based interventions, health education and crisis support in clients’ homes and community settings.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to quality‑improvement initiatives aligned with provincial Nurse‑to‑Patient Ratio standards.
- Participate in case conferences, discharge planning and follow‑up appointments to ensure continuity of care.
Essential Requirements
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in British Columbia.
- Minimum 2 years experience in mental health, addictions or community health nursing.
- Demonstrated knowledge of mNPR guidelines, trauma‑informed care and culturally safe practice.
- Strong communication, assessment and critical‑thinking skills.
- Valid BC driver’s licence and reliable vehicle for community travel.
Desirable Qualifications
- Additional certification in mental health nursing, substance‑use treatment or case management.
- Experience working with Indigenous or diverse populations.
