Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement commercial strategies that align with project goals and company profitability targets.
• Lead bid preparation, pricing, and tender negotiations for large‑scale construction contracts.
• Manage contracts, variations, and change orders to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
• Monitor project financial performance, forecast cash flow, and report variance analysis to senior leadership.

Requirements & Skills

• Proven experience (5+ years) as a Commercial Manager in utilities, digital or energy infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts (FIDIC, NEC, JCT) and UK procurement legislation.
• Excellent financial acumen with the ability to analyse budgets, forecasts and profitability.
• Effective negotiation, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business or related field; relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CIPS, RICS) are a plus.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a hybrid team, travelling to sites as required.
