Job Summary

GovCIO is hiring a Clinical Informatics Director (Remote) based in Uptown, Marion County, US. This senior MD/DO role provides clinical leadership for complex healthcare technology initiatives, bridging clinical operations with digital health solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of electronic health record (EHR) and other digital health platforms across multiple health systems.
• Act as the primary clinical liaison between physicians, nursing staff, and IT teams to ensure technology aligns with real‑world workflows.
• Develop and enforce clinical governance, data standards, and best‑practice guidelines for health informatics projects.
• Drive analytics initiatives to improve patient outcomes, safety, and operational efficiency.
• Provide mentorship and training to clinical staff on new digital tools and workflows.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to define strategic roadmaps and ROI for technology investments.
• Ensure compliance with federal regulations, including HIPAA, HITECH, and public trust requirements.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree, board‑certified in a clinical specialty.
• Minimum 8 years of clinical experience with at least 4 years in health informatics or digital health leadership.
• Proven experience managing large‑scale EHR implementations and interoperable systems.
• Strong understanding of clinical workflow analysis, data governance, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change‑management skills.
• Eligibility for United States Suitability/Public Trust clearance.

Compensation & Benefits
