Claims Representative II – REMOTE

The Claims Representative II role at Ryder System is a remote position supporting the company’s self‑insured liability program, based out of Grandview Heights, Franklin County, US.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage low to mid‑range bodily injury auto liability claims submitted under Ryder’s self‑administered program.
• Investigate claim facts, gather documentation, and evaluate coverage according to contract terms.
• Communicate claim status and decisions clearly to claimants, attorneys, and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate medical, repair, and legal services to achieve fair and timely resolutions.
• Maintain accurate claim files in the company’s system and ensure compliance with state regulations.
• Identify trends and recommend process improvements to reduce loss exposure.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience handling auto liability claims, preferably within a self‑insured environment.
• Strong understanding of coverage language, contract interpretation, and liability assessment.
• Excellent customer‑service orientation and ability to work independently.
• Proficient with claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Experience

• Background in commercial auto claims.
• Familiarity with Franklin County regulations and US auto insurance statutes.
