About This Position
Job Summary
Ryder System is seeking a Claims Representative II to work remotely from Boise, Ada County, US. In this role you will manage low‑to‑mid range auto liability claims for Ryder’s self‑insured program, providing excellent customer service and ensuring accurate claim resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle auto liability claims from initial intake through settlement, focusing on bodily injury injuries.
- Interpret coverage language and contract terms to determine claim validity.
- Communicate clearly with claimants, attorneys, medical providers, and internal stakeholders.
- Investigate accidents, gather evidence, and coordinate with law enforcement when needed.
- Maintain accurate claim files in Ryder’s claims management system.
- Identify opportunities for cost containment while protecting the company’s interests.
- Support senior claim representatives and collaborate with the commercial auto claims team as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience handling auto liability claims, preferably within a self‑insured environment.
- Strong knowledge of coverage provisions and liability contracts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self‑motivated, customer‑focused and able to work independently.
- Commercial auto claims experience is a plus.
- High school diploma or GED required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in insurance, risk management, or related field preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $64,861.50 per year. Competitive benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401(k) and paid time off.
