Civil Engineering Technician

Greenwood Engineering Solutions is hiring a Civil Engineering Technician to work on‑site in Whitehorse, Yukon. This role supports engineering design, field surveys and project documentation for infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in developing specifications, drawings and design calculations.
• Conduct field surveys, inspections and technical investigations to gather accurate site data.
• Prepare construction specifications, cost estimates and material take‑offs.
• Create and update engineering designs and detailed drawings using CAD software.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones are met.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers and internal teams to support project delivery.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum two years and less than three years of relevant experience in civil engineering or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
• Strong knowledge of engineering standards, construction methods and material specifications.
• Experience with CAD/ BIM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work on‑site full‑time in Whitehorse; remote work is not available.
