Cerner Analyst with HL7

MSYS Inc. is seeking a Cerner Analyst with HL7 expertise to work remotely on a long‑term, W‑2 only engagement supporting an Oracle Cerner hosted EHR. This role collaborates with Cerner AMS/MSD, the client’s Office of Information Technology and the Division of Community Health Services.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Tier‑2 and Tier‑3 support for the Oracle Cerner EHR environment, focusing on HL7 messaging, interfaces, and data flow.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve HL7 integration issues across clinical and administrative systems.
• Collaborate with Cerner AMS/MSD teams, client IT staff, and community health stakeholders to ensure system stability and compliance.
• Perform system configuration, testing, and validation of new HL7 interfaces and updates.
• Document incidents, resolutions, and knowledge‑base articles following ITIL best practices.
• Participate in on‑call rotation and provide timely remote assistance via webcam interviews and screen sharing.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Cerner analyst or similar role supporting Cerner Millennium/EHR platforms.
• Strong knowledge of HL7 v2.x standards, message mapping, and interface engines (e.g., Mirth, Corepoint).
• Proficiency with SQL queries, Oracle databases, and Cerner PowerChart modules.
• Experience working in a W‑2 employment model; C2C arrangements are not accepted.
• Excellent communication skills for remote collaboration and webcam interviews.
• U.S. work authorization and ability to work remote full‑time.
