Job Summary

Odyssey Locums is seeking a Cardiac Anesthesiologist for a locum position in South East Florida, based in Miami. The role offers a fixed annual remuneration of $115,056.12 and provides a varied surgical caseload across multiple hospitals.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide cardiac and non‑cardiac anaesthesia for cases including orthopaedics, general surgery, OB/GYN, urology, GI, cath lab, and ENT.
• Deliver specialised cardiac care for procedures such as CABG, valve replacements, TAVR, MitraClip, LAA ligation and electrophysiology cases.
• Adhere to scheduled shifts: Monday‑Friday (7 am‑3 pm, 7 am‑5 pm or 7 am‑7 pm) with required weekend on‑call coverage.
• Collaborate with surgical teams at Aventura and Mercy hospitals, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Maintain accurate anaesthetic records and comply with hospital protocols and New Zealand‑style best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Medical degree with board certification in Anaesthesiology and a subspecialty or demonstrated experience in cardiac anaesthesia.
• Current US medical licence (or eligibility for fast‑track licencing) and DEA registration.
• Minimum 3 years post‑qualification experience, including exposure to CABG, valve, TAVR and EP cases.
• Strong communication skills, ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Flexibility to cover varied shift patterns and weekend call.
