GP Strategies Government Solutions Inc is hiring a Business Development/Capture Manager in Columbia, Howard County, MD. This role drives growth for the Department of War workforce, focusing on readiness, efficiency, agility, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the government sector, especially defense and aerospace.
- Lead capture efforts from capture planning through proposal development and contract award.
- Build and maintain relationships with senior government officials, prime contractors, and subcontractors.
- Develop win strategies, competitive analyses, and pricing models aligned with client requirements.
- Coordinate cross‑functional teams—including technical, finance, and legal—to ensure compliant and compelling proposals.
- Track market trends, emerging technologies, and policy changes affecting the Department of War.
- Prepare and deliver executive briefings, presentations, and status reports.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of business development or capture management experience with a large prime contractor or midsize subcontractor.
- Proven success in securing federal contracts, preferably in aerospace or aviation.
- Strong understanding of government acquisition processes (FAR, DFARS) and security clearance requirements.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel regionally and nationally as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus.
Compensation
Salary: $128,564.48 per year (fixed).
Location
Columbia, Howard County, Maryland, United States.
