Job Summary
Analytica is hiring a Business Analyst (Data Products) in Bethesda, Montgomery County, US. This role supports a federal Azure‑based data and analytics program, translating mission and policy needs into functional and data requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze business, operational, and policy requirements from government stakeholders.
- Define clear functional and data specifications for cloud data platforms, dashboards, and AI‑enabled use cases.
- Collaborate with product owners, data engineers, data scientists, and analysts to ensure requirements are accurately implemented.
- Create user stories, use cases, process flows, and data models in regulated environments.
- Facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews, and requirement validation sessions.
- Support testing activities, including UAT planning, execution, and defect tracking.
- Maintain documentation such as requirement matrices, traceability logs, and compliance artifacts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in data‑focused or analytics projects, preferably with federal or regulated clients.
- Strong understanding of Azure data services (Azure Synapse, Data Lake, Power BI, Azure Machine Learning).
- Proven ability to translate complex business needs into technical specifications.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance requirements (e.g., FISMA, NIST).
