Join WSP USA as a Bridge Inspection Team Leader based in Edgewood, Richland County, US. This full‑time role supports the rapidly expanding Bridge Inspection Practice across the Southeast region.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise field bridge inspection crews on multiple projects.
- Plan, schedule, and conduct comprehensive bridge inspections following federal and state guidelines.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports, condition assessments, and rehabilitation recommendations.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure timely delivery of deliverables.
- Mentor junior inspectors and provide on‑site training on safety protocols and inspection techniques.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA, FHWA, and agency-specific safety standards.
- Assist in developing inspection scopes, budgets, and resource allocations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of bridge inspection experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications and NCHRP guidelines.
- Proficient in inspection software (e.g., BridgeInspect, GIS, AutoCAD).
- Excellent communication, report writing, and client‑interaction skills.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the Southeast region.
Compensation & Benefits

Location
Edgewood, Richland County, US – with flexibility to work from WSP offices in Mooresville, NC; Raleigh, NC; Greenville, SC; or Columbia, SC as project needs dictate.
