Job Summary
Join viaPhoton in Naperville, DuPage County as an Automation Maintenance Technician. This hands‑on role focuses on maintaining and optimizing automated manufacturing equipment while driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on robotic cells, PLC‑controlled machinery, and related automation systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and software issues to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement upgrades, calibrations, and process enhancements.
- Document maintenance activities, generate reports, and maintain spare‑part inventories.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in root‑cause analysis and suggest cost‑effective solutions.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or certification in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience maintaining automated equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with PLC programming (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens), robotics, and HMI interfaces.
- Strong diagnostic skills, ability to read schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem‑solving abilities.
