Associate Legal Counsel – Corporate Trust (Remote Hybrid)
About This Position
UMB Bank is seeking an Associate Legal Counsel – Corporate Trust to work remotely with a hybrid schedule based in Boston, Suffolk County, MA. This role focuses on structured finance, escrow, municipal and corporate bond transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and provide comments on structured finance documents, escrow agreements, municipal and corporate bond and note documentation.
- Draft and negotiate amendments to protect Corporate Trust’s interests.
- Collaborate with internal business units, external counsel, and regulators to ensure compliance.
- Conduct legal research on trust and securities law matters.
- Support transaction closing processes and post‑closing documentation management.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- 2–4 years of experience in corporate trust, structured finance, or securities law.
- Strong analytical and drafting skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines in a hybrid environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Compensation & Benefits
