Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end‑to‑end process chemistry program for small‑molecule drug substances, from early candidate selection to clinical‑grade manufacturing.
• Design, invent, and optimize novel, robust, and scalable synthetic routes that meet regulatory and GMP standards.
• Collaborate with discovery, analytical, and manufacturing teams to translate laboratory routes into pilot‑scale and commercial processes.
• Manage timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for multiple concurrent projects.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, EMA, and other relevant regulatory guidelines throughout process development.
• Mentor and develop senior chemists and cross‑functional staff, fostering a culture of innovation and safety.

Required Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry, Process Chemistry, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical process development, including scale‑up to kilogram or larger scale.
• Proven track record of delivering GMP‑compliant processes for IND/NDA submissions.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements (FDA, EMA, ICH) and experience preparing regulatory documentation.
• Excellent project management, communication, and leadership skills.

• Experience with continuous flow chemistry and green chemistry principles.
• Background in biologics‑small molecule conjugates or combination products.
• Familiarity with advanced analytical techniques (LC‑MS, NMR, HPLC) for process monitoring.
