Job Summary
Merck is seeking an Associate Director – Global Swine Technical Nutritionist to join its Animal Health division in Cammack Village, Pulaski County, US. This senior technical role provides worldwide nutrition expertise to marketing, commercial and R&D teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead global nutrition strategy for swine products throughout the entire product lifecycle.
- Provide scientific support to marketing and commercial teams, translating complex nutritional data into clear value propositions for customers.
- Collaborate with R&D to design, execute, and interpret nutrition studies, field trials, and feeding guidelines.
- Develop technical training materials, webinars, and scientific publications for internal and external audiences.
- Serve as the primary technical liaison with veterinarians, feed manufacturers, and key opinion leaders worldwide.
- Monitor regulatory trends and ensure all nutrition claims comply with international standards.
- Contribute to new product concept development by assessing nutritional feasibility and market opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Animal Nutrition, Veterinary Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in swine nutrition, preferably within a multinational animal health or feed company.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional global projects and influence senior stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis software and scientific writing.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities, both written and verbal.
- Willingness to travel internationally up to 25% of the time.
Compensation & Benefits
