About This Position
Merck is seeking an Associate Director – Global Swine Technical Nutritionist to join its Animal Health division in Grandview Heights, Franklin County, US. This senior technical role supports global marketing, commercial, and R&D teams with nutrition science across the swine product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert nutritional guidance to global marketing and sales teams for swine health products.
- Collaborate with R&D to translate scientific data into market‑ready solutions.
- Develop and deliver technical training, webinars, and scientific presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead the creation of technical content, white papers, and scientific publications.
- Support product lifecycle management, from concept through launch and post‑launch optimization.
- Act as the primary scientific liaison with veterinarians, nutritionists, and key opinion leaders worldwide.
- Monitor regulatory trends and ensure compliance of all technical communications.
Qualifications & Requirements
- PhD or Master’s degree in Animal Nutrition, Veterinary Science, or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in swine nutrition, preferably within a multinational animal health or feed company.
- Proven track record of translating complex scientific data into clear commercial strategies.
- Strong presentation and written communication skills.
- Ability to travel internationally up to 30% of the time.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
