Job Summary
Merck is seeking an Associate Director – Global Swine Technical Nutritionist to join its Animal Health division in Washington, D.C., US. This senior technical role provides worldwide nutrition expertise to marketing, commercial, and R&D teams across the swine product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high‑level scientific and nutritional support for global swine products, influencing product strategy and launch plans.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and R&D to translate nutritional science into compelling customer messaging.
- Lead cross‑functional projects, including field trials, feed formulation guidance, and technical training programs.
- Act as the primary technical liaison with external stakeholders such as veterinarians, nutritionists, and industry partners.
- Develop and maintain up‑to‑date scientific resources, white papers, and technical presentations.
- Support regulatory submissions and ensure compliance with international animal health standards.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced degree (PhD or DVM) in Animal Nutrition, Veterinary Science, or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in swine nutrition, preferably within a multinational animal health or feed company.
- Proven track record of leading technical projects and influencing product development.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences.
- Experience working in a matrixed global organization and traveling internationally as needed.
Compensation
Base salary: $112,372.74 per year.
