Job Summary

Associate Attorney – Montana (Remote) with Messerli Kramer P.A., based in Missoula, Missoula County, US. Join a respected law firm handling consumer collection litigation for national creditors across multiple states.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a full caseload of consumer collection lawsuits from inception to resolution.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
• Represent clients in court hearings, settlement negotiations, and mediations.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop litigation strategies and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Maintain accurate case records in the firm’s docketing system and meet all filing deadlines.
• Communicate regularly with clients, providing updates and legal advice.

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active bar admission in Montana (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
• 2+ years of experience in consumer collection or related civil litigation.
• Strong analytical, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Proficiency with legal research tools (Westlaw, LexisNexis) and case management software.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently in a remote environment.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual base salary: $111,378.48. Competitive benefits package including health, dental, vision, retirement plan, and paid time off.
