Merck is seeking an Associate Director, Technical Product Management in Rahway, Union County, NJ to lead pilot‑plant and manufacturing automation platforms. This senior role drives strategy, architecture, delivery and operational excellence for plant‑side OT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the product roadmap for research automation platforms supporting multiple sites.
• Lead system architecture, integration, and deployment of plant‑side automation and OT infrastructure.
• Oversee cybersecurity, data integrity, and compliance for regulated manufacturing environments.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including engineering, operations, quality, and IT—to ensure seamless product delivery.
• Provide hands‑on technical leadership, troubleshooting, and mentorship to engineering teams.
• Establish metrics and continuous‑improvement processes for operational excellence.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred.

• Proven track record delivering complex, regulated automation solutions at scale.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity standards, industrial control systems, and compliance frameworks (e.g., FDA, GxP).

Compensation

Salary: $163,654.25 annually.
