About This Position
RICK is hiring an Assistant Engineering Designer for its Civil Design Division in Riverside, Riverside County, CA. This entry‑level role offers the chance to work on landmark infrastructure projects across the Inland Empire.
Key Responsibilities
- Support senior engineers in preparing civil design drawings, calculations, and specifications.
- Assist with site layout, grading, storm‑water, and utility plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS tools.
- Conduct field visits to gather data, verify existing conditions, and perform as‑built documentation.
- Prepare cost estimates, material take‑offs, and basic project schedules.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and clients to ensure design compliance with local codes and standards.
- Maintain project files, track revisions, and contribute to quality‑control reviews.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D; familiarity with Revit, MicroStation, or GIS is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
- Effective verbal and written communication; ability to work collaboratively.
- EIT (Engineer‑in‑Training) certification preferred but not required.
