Assistant Controller

Job Summary

PureSpectrum is seeking an Assistant Controller to join its finance team in Lake Sherwood, Ventura County. This role supports the Controller in overseeing financial reporting, compliance, and month‑end close processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Support the Controller with internal controls, audit coordination and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain general ledger entries, reconciliations and journal postings.
• Help develop and improve budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis processes.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to provide financial insights for strategic decisions.
• Monitor cash flow, accounts payable/receivable and fixed‑asset accounting.
• Prepare documentation for external audits and ensure timely completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA preferred.
• 3‑5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a technology or research‑focused environment.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting standards and internal controls.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP) and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Detail‑oriented with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Compensation

Salary: $138,390.60 per year (fixed).
