Area Sales Manager

Verto People is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to work remotely while covering the North West UK from Ardwick, Manchester. You will drive new business and manage key accounts for a global engineering manufacturer of hydraulic components.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and secure new customers across the North West region, focusing on end‑user and OEM channels.
• Maintain and grow existing key accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Promote a full portfolio of hydraulic products – pumps, valves, actuators, power packs and related systems.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations and quotations tailored to client specifications.
• Negotiate contracts and close sales to meet or exceed the £65,000 annual target.
• Collaborate with engineering and service teams to provide accurate product support.
• Report pipeline activity and forecast sales performance to senior management.

Requirements

• Proven sales experience in hydraulic or industrial engineering markets.
• Strong track record of meeting sales targets and managing key accounts.
• Technical aptitude with the ability to understand and explain complex hydraulic systems.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently in a remote environment.
• Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the North West.
