Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Journeyperson Electrician with installation, testing, and maintenance of high‑voltage transformers, switchgear, and related power system equipment.
• Support the erection of structural steel and the construction of ground grids for substations.
• Perform basic troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on both low‑ and high‑voltage circuits.
• Help with cable pulling, conduit installation, and connection of control and protection devices.
• Follow all safety protocols, lock‑out/tag‑out procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Document work performed, maintain tool inventories, and report progress to senior electricians.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent; enrollment in an electrical apprenticeship program preferred.
• Basic understanding of electrical theory, schematics, and safety codes.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and at heights.
