Job Summary
Belay Technologies is looking for an Application Developer/Reverse Engineer to join its Intel team in Annapolis Junction, Anne Arundel County, US. This role combines software development and reverse‑engineering to create advanced security tools for national‑security missions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain high‑performance applications supporting intelligence operations.
- Perform reverse engineering on malware, binaries, and proprietary protocols to uncover vulnerabilities and extract actionable intelligence.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional agile teams to integrate security solutions into existing platforms.
- Write clean, documented code in languages such as C/C++, Python, and Assembly.
- Develop automated analysis pipelines and scripting tools for rapid threat assessment.
- Participate in code reviews, threat‑modeling sessions, and security architecture discussions.
- Stay current with emerging cyber‑threat trends and incorporate best practices into tool development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of professional software development experience, preferably in a defense or intelligence environment.
- Strong proficiency in low‑level programming (C/C++, Assembly) and scripting (Python, PowerShell).
- Hands‑on experience with reverse‑engineering tools such as IDA Pro, Ghidra, or Radare2.
- Understanding of operating system internals (Windows, Linux) and networking protocols.
- Ability to work in an agile, fast‑paced setting and deliver high‑quality code on tight timelines.
- Security clearance eligibility (or existing clearance) is highly desirable.
