Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot residential and commercial appliances, including refrigerators, freezers, washers, and dryers.
• Read and interpret test equipment results to determine necessary repairs.
• Handle refrigerants safely and perform recovery, recycling, and charging procedures using company‑provided equipment.
• Brazing, soldering, and component replacement according to manufacturer specifications.
• Follow dispatch orders, prioritize work calls, and maintain accurate service logs.
• Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle and ensure all tools are in good condition.
• Provide excellent customer service, explain repairs, and recommend preventative maintenance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; technical certification or apprenticeship in appliance repair preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record for long‑distance travel.
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals.
• Experience with refrigerant handling and EPA certification is a plus.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb and work in confined spaces.
