About This Position
Pearson is hiring an Advanced Specialist, Service Provider (Special Education) in Bismarck, Burleigh County, US. This role supports virtual K‑12 schools by delivering high‑quality special education services and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct special education services to students enrolled in Pearson Virtual Schools, including individualized instruction and accommodations.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external providers to develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Ensure all services meet state and federal compliance standards and Pearson’s internal quality benchmarks.
- Conduct data analysis to track student progress and adjust interventions accordingly.
- Train and mentor virtual school staff on best practices for special education delivery.
- Serve as a liaison between the virtual school, local education agencies, and community partners.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Special Education or related field.
- Valid special education teaching certification and at least 5 years of experience providing services in a K‑12 setting.
- Strong knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and state special education regulations.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Experience with virtual or blended learning environments is preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
