Pearson is seeking an Advanced Specialist, Service Provider (School Counseling, and Career) to join its Pearson Virtual Schools (PVS) team in Wyoming, Kent County, US. Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive school counseling services—including academic, social‑emotional, and career planning—to students enrolled in Connections Academy and Pearson Online Academy.
- Design and implement virtual counseling programs that align with state standards and Pearson’s instructional goals.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parent partners to identify student needs and create individualized support plans.
- Deliver one‑on‑one and group counseling sessions via video conferencing, chat, and phone platforms.
- Analyze student data to assess program effectiveness and recommend improvements.
- Maintain accurate, confidential records in compliance with FERPA and other regulations.
- Stay current on best practices in school counseling, career development, and virtual education technology.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in School Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, or a related field.
- Valid state certification or licensure for school counseling.
- Minimum 5 years of experience providing counseling services in K‑12 or virtual school settings.
- Strong knowledge of career development frameworks (e.g., ASCA, Career Development Theory).
- Excellent communication skills and comfort using digital collaboration tools.
