About This Position
Pearson is seeking an Advanced Specialist, Service Provider (School Counseling, and Career) to join its Pearson Virtual Schools division in Washington, D.C., US. This role supports virtual K‑12 schools by delivering high‑quality counseling and career services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive school counseling and career guidance to students across Pearson’s virtual schools, including Connections Academy and Pearson Online Academy.
- Develop and deliver virtual counseling programs, workshops, and resources aligned with state standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and external partners to integrate counseling services into the curriculum.
- Track student progress, maintain confidential records, and generate data‑driven reports to inform program improvements.
- Stay current on educational policies, mental health trends, and career pathways to ensure relevant support.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in School Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, or a related field.
- Valid counseling certification/licensure in the United States.
- Minimum 5 years experience providing counseling or career services in K‑12 or virtual education settings.
- Strong knowledge of virtual learning platforms and digital communication tools.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and data‑analysis skills.

Compensation & Benefits
