Job Summary
Pearson is seeking an Advanced Specialist, Service Provider (School Counseling, and Career) to join our Pearson Virtual Schools division in Five Points, Wake County, US. This role supports virtual K‑12 schools by delivering high‑quality counseling and career guidance services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive school counseling services to students across Pearson’s virtual schools, including academic planning, social‑emotional support, and college‑career readiness.
- Develop and deliver engaging career exploration programs and resources aligned with state standards.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to identify student needs and create individualized support plans.
- Maintain accurate student records in compliance with FERPA and other privacy regulations.
- Analyze counseling data to inform program improvements and report outcomes to senior leadership.
- Stay current with educational best practices, mental health trends, and virtual learning technologies.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in School Counseling, Educational Psychology, or a related field.
- Valid counseling certification/licensure for K‑12 in the United States.
- Minimum 5 years of experience providing counseling services in a K‑12 setting, preferably with virtual or blended learning environments.
- Strong knowledge of college admissions processes, career pathways, and workforce trends.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and cultural competency skills.
- Proficiency with digital learning platforms, data analytics tools, and virtual meeting software.
Compensation & Benefits
