Job Summary

Spence & Partners Limited is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Belfast office. This full‑time role offers a competitive salary of £41,240.75 per annum.

Key Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Maintain and reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and execute weekly payment runs, including ACH, BACS and wire transfers.
• Monitor cash flow forecasts and support month‑end closing activities.
• Collaborate with procurement and finance teams to improve invoice handling procedures.
• Ensure proper documentation and archiving of all accounts payable records.
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing required reports and explanations.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of accounts payable experience, preferably in a professional services environment.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Sage) and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
• Relevant accounting qualification (AAT, ACCA, CIMA) is desirable.
