Job Summary

Families and Youth Inc is seeking an experienced Accountant III (Senior Accountant) to join its Finance Department in Las Cruces, Doña Ana County, US. This full‑time role supports core financial record‑keeping, transaction processing, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate general ledger entries and reconcile accounts.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable cycles, ensuring timely processing.
• Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Coordinate audit activities and provide required documentation.
• Develop and implement internal controls to improve financial integrity.
• Support the Financial Controller with special projects and ad‑hoc analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in non‑profit or social services.
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
• Detail‑oriented with a commitment to accuracy and ethical standards.

Compensation & Benefits
