Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger entries and reconcile accounts.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and vendor payments.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Assist the COO with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Manage payroll processing and related tax filings.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, nonprofit regulations, and audit requirements.
- Coordinate with external auditors and prepare audit schedules.
- Monitor cash flow, bank reconciliations, and fund allocations.
- Support grant accounting and reporting for funded projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably in nonprofit or arts organizations.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and MS Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and nonprofit financial regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with senior leadership.
Compensation & Benefits
