Accountant

Harrington is seeking a skilled Accountant to join its finance team in Saddle Brook, Bergen County, US. This full‑time role offers a competitive salary of $105,992.45 and focuses on GAAP‑compliant financial reporting and general ledger management.

Key Responsibilities

• Rotate through core General Ledger (GL) duties alongside team members to ensure broad exposure.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
• Perform detailed financial statement analysis and variance explanations.
• Maintain accuracy and completeness of all financial data throughout the reporting cycle.
• Apply appropriate accounting standards (ASC) to produce timely, reliable reports.
• Assist with audit preparation and respond to internal/external audit inquiries.
• Support month‑end and year‑end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (CPA preferred).
• 2+ years of experience in public accounting or corporate finance.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and ASC guidelines.
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
