About This Position
Simon Community NI is hiring two full‑time Accommodation & Community Support Workers in Antrim, County Antrim. The role offers a fixed salary of £24,000 per year and 35 hours per week on a rotating shift pattern.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 24‑hour accommodation support for individuals experiencing homelessness or housing instability.
- Deliver personalised community‑based assistance, including advocacy, budgeting advice and connection to health and social services.
- Maintain accurate case notes, risk assessments and daily shift reports.
- Work collaboratively with the wider Simon Community team, external partners and local authorities to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Participate in night‑shift handovers and on‑call duties as required.
Essential Requirements
- Relevant experience in community support, housing, or social care (minimum 12 months).
- Strong interpersonal skills, empathy and a non‑judgmental approach.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and waking nights.
- Basic IT literacy for record‑keeping and communication.
- Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance (or willingness to obtain).
