About This Position
Job Summary
The ABA Therapy Behavior Technician position at Basics LLC is based in Washington, Washington, D.C., providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services in client homes throughout the DC area.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver ABA therapy sessions in accordance with individualized treatment plans designed by a Board‑Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Implement goals targeting language acquisition, social interaction, behavior reduction, and daily living skills.
- Collect accurate data on client progress and report findings to the supervising BCBA.
- Maintain a trauma‑informed, kind, and respectful therapeutic environment.
- Communicate effectively with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Participate in regular supervision, training, and professional development meetings.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in psychology, special education, or related field preferred.
- Completion of a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or willingness to obtain it within 90 days of hire.
- Experience working with children or adults with autism spectrum disorder or other developmental disabilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and a commitment to trauma‑informed care.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel to client homes across the DC metropolitan area.
- Clear background check and up‑to‑date immunizations.
Compensation & Benefits
Annual salary: $42,128.17. Benefits include health insurance, paid time off, mileage reimbursement, and ongoing training opportunities.
