In this 100% remote position, you will be responsible for the planning, design, and analysis of water supply systems, stormwater management, and flood mitigation projects.

Salary Range

$85,000 – $130,000 USD/year (Depending on experience and certifications)

Key Responsibilities

Technical Design & Analysis

• Develop complex hydraulic and hydrologic models to predict water flow and manage runoff.
• Design sustainable drainage systems (SuDS) and wastewater treatment frameworks.
• Perform flood risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for urban and rural areas.
• Utilize industry-standard software to create detailed technical specifications and engineering drawings.

Project Management & Collaboration

• Lead project lifecycles from initial feasibility studies to final implementation.
• Coordinate with cross-functional remote teams via Slack, Zoom, and project management tools.
• Prepare comprehensive technical reports and presentations for stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
• Ensure all designs comply with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.

Requirements

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4+ years of professional experience in water resources engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred.
• Proven track record of managing water-related infrastructure projects from inception to completion.

Technical Skill Set

• Expert proficiency in HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, EPA-SWMM, or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Strong understanding of hydrology, hydraulics, and fluid mechanics.
• Experience with GIS (Geographic Information Systems) for spatial analysis.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment with high accountability.
