About the Role & Your Impact

As a Remote Substance Abuse Counselor, you will be on the front lines of the fight against addiction. You will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop personalized treatment plans, and deliver individual and group counseling sessions via our secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. Your primary mission is to guide clients toward sustainable recovery, offering hope, coping strategies, and consistent support in a flexible remote environment. You will manage a caseload of clients, maintain meticulous clinical documentation, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, case managers, and peer support specialists to ensure holistic care.

Core Responsibilities:

• Conduct initial biopsychosocial assessments and diagnose substance use disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with measurable goals.
• Provide evidence-based individual, family, and group therapy (CBT, MI, DBT, etc.).
• Perform regular progress notes, treatment plan reviews, and discharge summaries.
• Maintain strict compliance with state regulations, licensing board standards, and company policies.
• Participate in weekly clinical supervision and team meetings.
• Provide crisis intervention and management as needed.

• Minimum of 2 years of post-graduate clinical experience providing direct counseling for substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.
• Proven experience with telehealth platforms and ability to set up a private, HIPAA-compliant home workspace.
• Strong knowledge of the DSM-5 and experience with treatment planning and progress note writing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both for client interaction and team collaboration.

Preferred Attributes:

• Certification in addiction counseling (e.g., CADC, MAC).
• Experience with specific populations (e.g., adolescents, veterans, LGBTQ+).

Compensation & Benefits Package

Salary Range:
