About the Role

In this position, you will be responsible for designing mechanical components and assemblies using industry‑standard CAD software. You will work closely with product managers, electrical engineers, and manufacturing specialists to ensure designs meet performance, cost, and sustainability targets. The role emphasizes iterative prototyping, tolerance analysis, and preparation of documentation for downstream manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings in SolidWorks, Creo, or Fusion 360.
• Perform geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) analysis to ensure manufacturability.
• Conduct stress, vibration, and thermal simulations using FEA tools when required.
• Generate bills of materials (BOM) and assembly instructions for prototype builds.
• Participate in design reviews, providing constructive feedback and documenting decisions.
• Maintain version control and manage design data within PLM systems.
• Stay current with emerging materials, manufacturing techniques, and industry standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Mechanical Designer or similar role.
• Proficiency with CAD packages such as SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, or Inventor.
• Strong understanding of GD&T, material selection, and manufacturing processes (machining, sheet metal, injection molding).
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical specifications, and engineering drawings.
• Excellent communication skills and comfort working in a distributed, remote team.
• Self‑motivated with proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with FEA or CFD simulation tools (ANSYS, Abaqus, SolidWorks Simulation).
