Salary Range

Key Responsibilities

Precision Cost Estimation

You will be responsible for calculating total project costs, including labor, materials, and equipment. Your goal is to provide estimates that are competitive enough to win bids but accurate enough to protect our margins.

Digital Blueprint Analysis

Utilizing advanced BIM and takeoff software, you will analyze architectural drawings and specifications to determine the exact quantities of materials required for diverse construction projects.

Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination

You will maintain a digital network of vendors and subcontractors, requesting quotes and negotiating pricing to ensure we are utilizing the most cost-effective resources available.

Risk Assessment & Reporting

Identify potential financial risks or logistical bottlenecks during the bidding phase and provide detailed reports to the Project Management team to mitigate losses before the project breaks ground.

Requirements

Professional Experience

• Minimum of 4+ years of experience as a Construction Estimator or Cost Engineer.
• Proven track record of managing bids for projects exceeding $1M in value.
• Deep knowledge of current material pricing and labor market trends within the Texas region.

Technical Proficiency

• Expertise in Planswift, Bluebeam, or similar digital takeoff software.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for complex financial modeling.
• Experience with project management tools such as Procore or Autodesk.

Soft Skills

• Exceptional time-management skills with the ability to hit tight bidding deadlines.
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with stakeholders via Zoom, Slack, and Email.
• A self-starter mentality capable of working without direct supervision in a remote environment.
