About the Role

As a Remote Datacenter Technician, you’ll be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting our global datacenter infrastructure. Working from your home office, you’ll use advanced remote management tools to ensure optimal performance of servers, networking equipment, and storage systems across multiple facilities. This role combines technical expertise with problem-solving skills to keep our digital services running smoothly 24/7.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor datacenter infrastructure performance and respond to alerts and incidents
• Perform remote diagnostics and troubleshooting of hardware and software issues
• Coordinate with on-site technicians for physical maintenance and repairs
• Document incidents, resolutions, and system changes in our knowledge base
• Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support when needed
• Implement security updates and patches across datacenter systems
• Assist with capacity planning and performance optimization

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred)
• 2+ years of experience in datacenter operations or IT infrastructure support
• Strong knowledge of server hardware, networking concepts, and storage systems
• Experience with remote management tools (e.g., iDRAC, ILO, IPMI)
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure
• Strong communication skills for coordinating with remote teams
• Relevant certifications (CompTIA Server+, Cisco CCNA, or equivalent) are a plus
