Join a forward-thinking engineering firm where innovation meets flexibility. We are seeking a talented Structural Engineer to lead high-impact projects from the comfort of your home office, blending cutting-edge BIM technology with sustainable design principles.

About the Role

Are you tired of the grueling commute and the constraints of a traditional office cubicle? We are redefining how infrastructure is built by empowering our engineers to work 100% remotely. As a Structural Engineer at Apex Infrastructure Group, you won’t just be crunching numbers; you will be the architectural backbone of sustainable urban developments across the country.

In this role, you will be responsible for the analysis and design of complex structural systems, ensuring safety, stability, and efficiency. You will collaborate with architects and project managers via cloud-based platforms to deliver precise technical specifications and blueprints. This is a high-autonomy position designed for a self-starter who thrives on solving complex geometric puzzles and optimizing material usage to reduce carbon footprints.

Salary Range

$85,000 – $125,000 USD/year (Depending on experience and licensure)

Key Responsibilities

Technical Design & Analysis

  • Perform rigorous structural calculations for steel, concrete, and timber structures using advanced simulation software.
  • Develop detailed 3D models and construction documents that adhere to local and national building codes.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and structural audits for existing infrastructure to ensure long-term viability.

Collaboration & Project Management

  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams through Slack, Zoom, and BIM 360 to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Review contractor submittals and provide technical guidance to ensure site implementation matches design intent.
  • Manage multiple project timelines simultaneously, delivering high-quality milestones without the need for physical site supervision.

Requirements

Education & Certification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred; EIT certification is acceptable for mid-level applicants.
  • Proven track record of managing structural projects from conceptual design through to completion.

Technical Proficiency

  • Expert-level mastery of AutoCAD, Revit, and RISA-3D or SAP2000.
  • Deep understanding of ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI standards.
  • Ability to operate efficiently in a distributed team environment with strong digital communication skills.

Whether you are working from a home office in the mountains or a quiet study in the suburbs, your productivity is measured by your results, not your clock-in time.

Cutting-Edge Toolset

We provide a full remote tech stack, including a high-performance workstation and a comprehensive software suite. You will have access to the latest cloud-computing power to run complex simulations without the lag of outdated hardware.

Growth & Development

We invest in our people. From paid continuing education credits to certifications in sustainable design (LEED), we ensure your skill set remains at the forefront of the industry. You will have a dedicated mentor and a clear path toward senior leadership roles within the organization.

Benefits
